On 11 June 2024, the annual Early Career Researcher Day took place, organized by the Materials Research Department of Ruhr-Universität Bochum. This day offers doctoral students from various disciplines of materials science a platform to share and expand their knowledge through lectures and presentations.
The Chair of Materials Technology was represented with a number of contributions. Among the topics covered were the additive manufacturing of CrMn steels and the formation mechanism of nitrogen bainite in an FeCrN system.
This event not only promotes scientific exchange, but also strengthens interdisciplinary cooperation and innovation in materials research at RUB.
