Directions

• By public transport:
  • a.   By subway: Take line U35 "Campus Line" towards "Hustadt/Ruhr-Universität". The U35 operates frequently during peak hours, approximately every 5 minutes, and the journey to the "Ruhr-Universität" stop takes about 10 minutes. After exiting the subway, head right over the pedestrian bridge, then turn left at the library and continue left towards the I-buildings. Proceed to Building IC (refer to the RUB campus map). Take the elevator to the floor E3 (not E03) and follow the signs for "Lehrstuhl für Hydraulische Strömungsmaschinen" to reach our secretariat at IC E3/95. The office of Prof. Skoda is located at IC E3/97.
  • b.   By taxi: If a taxi is taken from Bochum Central Station (Hbf.), although it's not necessary (see subway option above), please ask to be taken to Ruhr-Universität I-Nordstr. (north side of the IC building).

• From the airport: From the Düsseldorf Airport, take the SkyTrain from the terminal to "Düsseldorf Flughafen" train station, then take the train to "Bochum Hbf". If traveling by Regional-Express (RE) or S-Bahn, remember to validate your ticket before boarding the platform. From Bochum Hbf., follow the directions provided above (by public transport).

• By car: Access the A43 motorway, which runs from Münster to Wuppertal. Take the exit for "Bochum Querenburg/Ruhr-Universität" and follow Universitätsstrasse towards Ruhr-Universität until the "Uni-Mitte" exit (refer to the Ruhr-Universität Bochum campus map). After taking the exit, stay in the rightmost lane marked with "Anlieferung Mensa" (Cafeteria delivery). Continue straight into the Ruhr-Universität underground parking area, then turn left at the first opportunity (signposted "Mensa-Anlieferung"). At the end of the passage, turn left again and follow the direction until reaching I-Nordstr., where you'll turn right. Proceed on I-Nordstr. until you reach Building IC .
